Africa Hope and Aqua Clara Kenya have trained over 30 women to be community wash promoters (CWPs) in their communities! Praise the Lord! The women who have been trained are now able to lead WASHiriki health clubs to continue building local knowledge regarding the need for clean drinking water, adequate sanitation, and appropriate hygiene. Building knowledge and understanding is foundational for sustained growth, so these trainings are really important. These types of trainings as well as the creation of WASHiriki health clubs create community experiences in accomplishing changes for clean drinking water. In a communal culture, being able to move together for clean drinking water changes adds strength to the community as they are sharing such a common experience. It also makes it more likely that improvements will have a longer lasting impact.
